How We Work….
We are supported by membership, fundraisers, donations, and a few grants, along with donations of animal supplies from individuals and local businesses. Additionally, we rely on hundreds of hours of volunteer time every month to ensure that our animals are cared for and the daily business of running the shelter and clinic is successfully handled. We have a very small staff, led by an Executive Director, who manage all aspects of animal care, the adoption process, assist local veterinarians in our spay/neuter clinic, and work with the general public to educate about the important work we do.
Our Goals:
-
To give compassionate and high quality shelter and care to owner-relinquished animals
-
To eliminate pet overpopulation
-
To educate the public about responsible pet ownership
-
To be a resource for reduced-fee spaying and neutering
