WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Times are tough and finances are very tight here at SMVHS.  The cost of doing this work far exceeds the dollars that are coming in and we are running alarmingly low on operating funds. At the same time, the number of animals that need our help is rapidly growing.  Many pkatieboxer_243eople are being forced to move and are desperate to find a safe place for their animals where they can be sure they will find a loving home.  Others are in critical need of low cost spay/neuter services because it can be too expensive to do the right thing via a traditional veterinary practice.  We need your help to ensure that SMVHS can continue to be a safe place for animals in need for years to come.  Please consider a gift during these challenging times and please ask your friends and family for their support as well.  The animals are counting on us and we are counting on you.  Thanks for making a difference.

EXTENDED HOURS TO BETTER SERVE OUR COMMUNITY!

In order to offer better service to our community, the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society has extended hours.  On Thursdays we will be open from 12 noon until 6pm.  Stop by after work and visit our adoptable cats and dogs.

WE PROUDLY ANNOUNCE OUR NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, JILL TUCKER

Jill was introduced at Harvesting Our Dreams fundraiser on September 27th, and started work for us on Monday, September 28th. We are very fortunate to have Jill join our organization. She comes to us with lots of experience in animal welfare, non-profit, and fundraising. Please stop by and say hi and get acquainted with our new ED.
