Join SMVHS and our adoptable animals for a reading with one of our staff members. Children (of all ages) are invited to bring their favorite books to share with our dogs and cats after the reading.

Our next reading will be held Saturday, March 11 at 11 AM.

We encourage you to come by and visit our adoption facility to see our available cats and dogs. You may also view all of our adoptable animals here on this website, just click on the Adopt-a-Pet tab in the top menu. 

Monday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm              
Saturday 10 am to 4 pm

Tuesday through Saturday, Appointments Only Pets with appointments for spay or neuter procedures must be dropped off at the Clinic by 7:30 am
and will be released at 3:30 pm on the day of their appointment.

Every Tuesday 10 AM to 12 PM (Noon)
                             Every Saturday 10 AM to 12 PM (Noon)                              
The Vaccination Clinic is now available by appointment! Walk-ins welcome on a First Come, First Served basis.

Since 1982, SMVHS’ no-kill adoption center has placed more than 11,000 animals in loving homes and its low-cost spay/neuter clinic has sterilized more than 31,000 cats and dogs. A large volunteer team works in conjunction with paid staff to care for animals, educate the community, and raise funding and awareness for this important community service.
