 The SMVHS is a no kill facility. We have a medical euthanasia policy wherein only those animals whose physical or mental suffering is beyond professional veterinary care may be candidates for euthanasia. Animals that are deemed a significant danger to other animals, themselves or the public are candidates for euthanasia only after exhaustive efforts have been made for their rehabilitation. |
